Lando Norris wins the Miami Sprint race and breaks the Mercedes’ dominance. The 2025 World Champion took home the victory without much effort, comfortably conducting the race from the very first lap.
His teammate Oscar Piastri finished in second place and Charles Leclerc closed up the podium.
The Monegasque has had to defend with his tooth and nails the position conquered at the start from a very much aggressive Andrea Kimi Antonelli, shortly after involved in a battle even with his teammate George Russell.
Leclerc, once liberated from both the Mercedes, closed the gap with Piastri, peaking in engaging him in the last laps, whilst incapable of grasping the P2.
Along the first half of the race, we had a deja-vu of the 2021 thanks to Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. The two contenders got literally in touch at the lights out and remembered, in the following laps, the golden age of their rivalry. In the end, it was SuperMax who emerged, conquering the P6.
About the 7 time World Champion, he had to protect the seventh place from Pietre Gasly, who tried to attack him during the last lap.
Also the two Audis built some show tussling each other for P10.
On the other hand, in Willams and Sauber problems keep on going; particularly Albon couldn’t go further than the nineteenth place, while Hulkenberg – along with Lindblad – didn’t even take part.
The Cadillac situation, just as well, doesn’t seem to be improving much, as both Perez and Bottas are very far away from being competitive.
Anyhow, we have assisted to much action on track: eyes, now, on the qualifying round, to be hold in a few hours, that will determine the line-up for tomorrow’s full race.
