BREAKING – Sebastian Vettel to RETURN to Formula 1 in 2025!?

By Joe Murphy

Sebastian Vettel says he is genuinely considering about making a return to F1 as he confirmed there have been ongoing discussions with Mercedes boss Toto Wolff and the sport’s other team principals.

The four-time world champion provisionally retired in 2022 after 16 seasons in F1 but always left the door open for a potential return. Ever since, the German has been regularly linked with a possible return to the grid.

Mercedes have a 2025 seat to fill following Lewis Hamilton’s decision to join Ferrari, while Red Bull, the team Vettel won his four drivers’ titles with, could also have a vacancy with Sergio Perez’s contract expiring. Carlos Sainz is expected to fill one of these seats after an outstanding start to the season, whilst other names such as Alex Albon and Fernando Alonso have been banded around.

However, it is no secret that Wolff and others are huge admirers of Vettel and would be open to having him race in their team. You’d also imagine that Sebastian would be keen for a return to a competitive team in the sport after struggling to gain any major success at either Aston Martin or, arguably, Ferrari.
