Horner Update as Red Bull unveil last car…

By Joe Murphy

Red Bull have become the 10th and final team to unveil their ‘new’ car for the 2024 F1 campaign, although it must be said there are stark similarities from last year’s car, at least on first glance.

On a day where Christian Horner publicly denied all allegations against him, the new ‘RB20’ was revealed to fans across the planet yesterday. Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen alike both praised the team’s efforts over the winter months in fine tuning the Red Bull car.

As always, the Constructor’s Champions have adopted the navy blue, red and yellow colour scheme. Not much change in look, and, unlike other teams across the grid, they will also be hoping for little change on the track too.

2023’s RB19, enjoyed unprecedented levels of success, taking victory in all but one of the 22 Grands Prix to take place during the season as Carlos Sainz won in Singapore.

So dominating was the car, the Dutch Driver’s side of the garage ended the campaign with a 290-point advantage over second-placed Perez. This may be good for Max, and the first ever Red Bull 1-2 finish for a season, the Mexican will need to be more consistent in challenging his runaway teammate.

Three-time World Champion Verstappen praised the car at the launch yesterday: “It does look a bit different. I think the team definitely pushed on quite a bit from last year and I think that’s very positive. I’m just looking forward to get to Bahrain, start testing and really see what the car is capable of.”

Red Bull personel, including Horner himself, also made bremief reference to the ongoing investigation about the Team Principal. He has received the support of members of his team but also couldn’t reveal much due to respecting the ongoing legal processes involved.
