Eddie Jordan: Former Red Bull driver should return to the team in 2025.

By Joe Murphy

Eddie Jordan has suggested that should Sergio Perez depart Red Bull at he end of his current deal, the reigning Constructors Champions should look at a driver that used to wear the dark blue and red.

Jordan feels that Alex Albon deserves a second chance at a top team, after impressing with Williams throughout 2023.

“I have a real soft spot for Albon… I just think that given the right situations I think he could really, really be mustard… I would like to see at some stage that he be given the chance alongside Max, because I think he might be a big surprise.”

This certainly isn’t beyond the realms of possibility, although Alex did cut ties with the team at the end of his last stint with Red Bull.

If Checo does have a poor year, it is understood he will be replaced for 2025. With the question being; who? The Daniel Ricciardo rumours never seem to disappear whereas names such as Tsunoda, Gasly and the aforementioned Albon do get banded around somewhat. Liam Lawson is also understood to be on the radar of Christian Horner and his employers.
