Driver IN DOUBT for Dutch Grand Prix, replacement plans in place…

By Joe Murphy

Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll is not in attendance at Zandvoort for Thursday’s media day, ahead of this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix.

The Canadian driver is set to miss out this crucial day as his tean confirmed their driver will not be in attendance at the circuit today.

Whilst no racing takes place on Thursdays, the preview for the weekend usually includes media obligations as well as track walks and set up meetings with engineers.

However, Lance is still recovering from an infection and has been ruled out of the day. He also remains a doubt for Fridays practice, although this hasn’t officially been confirmed.

Should Lance not be fit for the weekend, it would be interesting to see who Aston Martin bring in. They could choose their own reserve driver, or even look at Mick Schumacher from Mercedes, should Toto Wolff consent. Updates will come on Lance’s health, in due course.
