Nico Hulkenberg will start today’s Canadian Grand Prix in 5th after suffering a 3 place grid penalty that now prevents him from starting on the front row for the first time since his return.
Along with three other drivers, including Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, it appears as if the German failed to slow sufficiently in the red flag conditions after a hectic qualifying session yesterday.
This news comes as a huge disappointment with all F1 fans wanting Hulk to get his long awaited maiden podium. Fernando Alonso moves up to P2, whilst Mercedes now make up the second row ahead of the Haas driver.
