Max Verstappen, still yet to finish worse than second in a Grand Prix this year, claimed yet another win underneath the Spanish sun (clouds).
Claiming victory in circumstances where it looked a shoe-in after the Dutchman evaded his only challenge by hometown hero Carlos Sainz, he went on to claim victory by nearly 24 seconds.
This is just the latest of easy wins for Max, aided by the fact his teammate and nearest challenger, has fallen by the wayside since April.

Lewis Hamilton seemed to be back on the pace after a disasterous outing around the streets where he lives. George Russell is struggling for that consistency which made him a solid option for a potential battle. As for Ferrari, they are about as unpredictable as a team could be, with Leclerc qualifying second last with his teammate actual second.
And now, it seems, Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin won’t be able to force a title battle either. He kept up with the Red Bull pair over the start of the season and seemed to have a consistent car for the first time in what seems forever. Nevertheless, he hasn’t looked a match for Verstappen’s Red Bull and even finished behind his teammate for the first time this season, in his home race.
With Canada a little under two weeks away, here’s hoping for the sake of Formula 1 that someone starts to challenge the flying Dutchman, before his championship lead becomes unattainable.
