Aston Martin present their 2026 challenger

Written by Callum Griffies

Aston Martin has become the final team to reveal their livery ahead of the 2026 season.

The highly anticipated AMR26 was revealed to the public and was no surprise to see the classic Aston Martin racing green colour scheme.

Aston Martin turned heads in the paddock and across social media when the team debuted the AMR26 on the final hour of the penultimate day of the shakedown in Barcelona. The British manufacturer came out of the pit lane in a blackout livery, which fans across the world loved, as they finally got to see the design of the car.
The AMR26 is Aston Martin’s first F1 car to be built by the legendary designer also known as “the man that can see air”, Adrian Newey.

In a recent interview on Aston Martin’s website, Adrian Newey revealed that the AMR26 is behind schedule due to issues with the wind tunnel, which meant the team started working on the car four months later than other teams.
This is one of the many reasons why the team decided to reveal their livery for the new era last. This is because the team never had time to paint the cars due to the delay that occurred.

As well as the AMR26 being built by Adrian Newey. Aston Martin comes into the season with a new powertrain, as Honda looks to take the British manufacturer right to the top.

The AMR26 only managed five laps around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya before the car came to a stop with Lance Stroll behind the wheel. However, a much better session on the Friday saw the British team complete 61 laps on the final day of the shakedown after having troubles with the car the day prior.
