Red Bull’s Pre-Season Testing Hit by Crash
Isack Hadjar, Red Bull’s new recruit, crashed the RB22 during pre-season testing in Barcelona, causing significant damage to the car. The 21-year-old Frenchman lost control at the final corner in wet conditions, spinning backwards into the barriers. This incident has led Red Bull to reconsider their testing schedule, with team principal Laurent Mekies stating they’re assessing the damage before deciding on their next move.
Ferrari’s Promising Start
Meanwhile, Ferrari has made a strong impression, completing 121 laps on the first day of testing with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel. Hamilton praised the team’s progress, saying, “It was an intense but productive first day, especially with the mixed weather conditions”.
Williams Misses Barcelona Test
Williams has confirmed they’ll miss the Barcelona test due to production delays, but team boss James Vowles is optimistic about their readiness for the Bahrain test next month.
