The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City has a rich history, having first hosted the event in 1962. The circuit’s high altitude and thin air pose significant challenges for drivers and cars, while its unique layout demands precision and bravery.

The Mexican Grand Prix has been a staple of the F1 calendar, with legendary drivers like Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, and Nelson Piquet enjoying success at the circuit. After a 23-year absence, the event returned to the F1 calendar in 2015, with the circuit undergoing significant renovations to bring it up to modern F1 standards.

This weekend’s event promises to be an exciting and unpredictable one, with Piastri, Norris, and Verstappen locked in a tight battle for the top spot. Max realistically needs to keep winning whilst both McLaren’s hope to get some strong points on the board. Piastri especially needs a strong weak after entering somewhat of a slump since Baku.

The championship contenders will need to navigate the circuit’s challenging layout, which features a mix of fast sweepers and slow hairpins. The Esses, a series of fast sweepers that follow a bumpy crest, are a particularly demanding section of the circuit, especially regarding tyre wear.

The stage is set for a thrilling event, with the championship contenders ready to put everything on the line. Will Piastri, Norris, or Verstappen emerge victorious, or will another driver seize the opportunity to take the lead? We find out this weekend.
