Ferrari Finds Solution to Weight Disqualification
After the heartbreaking double disqualification in China, Ferrari has faced some tough decisions. Lewis Hamilton’s disqualification was a silly oversight, but at least with Charles, they learned something vital: the car is much faster when the end of the front wing is missing.
The brain trust at Ferrari quickly jumped into action and decided to remove the other end of the front wing as well. However, the problem it caused was that the car is now significantly underweight.
A call was made from Maranello to Monaco, and Charles was instructed to start eating immediately. Although initially reluctant, Uber Eats was sent to Leclerc’s apartment, and a 24-hour loaded fries binge began.
The Tifosi believe that with the endplate gone, Ferrari is ready to cause a shock in Japan—assuming they can get Charles into the car.
Helmut Marko’s Shocking Statement
Everyone’s favorite “father figure,” Helmut Marko, has all but guaranteed that Yuki Tsunoda will not be replaced in the Red Bull team until at least his second pit stop. Mr. Marko explained that he isn’t the type of person who wants to put undue pressure on drivers, so Tsunoda will be given a free run during his first stop. Sources close to Yuki have confirmed that he feels much more relaxed now that he will definitely be with Red Bull for more than half a race.
However, Helmut Marko did stop short of saying he wouldn’t change his mind if Tsunoda fails to beat Verstappen in his first qualifying session.
After Lawson’s struggles to drive the RB21, Max was asked if the team could make the car more drivable for other drivers. Unfortunately, that now seems unlikely, as Max has requested that all braking systems be removed from the car, leaving only drag to slow it down. With Danii Kvyat waiting in the wings, Yuki had better hope he nails that first half of his home Grand Prix!
