Verstappen bullish as he aims for 5 in a row…

Max Verstappen recently opened up about his emotions after securing his fourth world championship at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The Dutch driver admitted that it felt incredibly satisfying to celebrate the victory after a “very intense” season.

Verstappen’s fifth-place finish in Las Vegas was enough to surpass his closest rival, Lando Norris, securing the points needed to wrap up the title with two races still to go.

Although the season is far from over, with the Qatar Grand Prix scheduled this weekend as the second race in a season-ending triple header, Verstappen took a moment during Thursday’s media day to reflect on his success.

Asked how he felt a few days after the win, the 27-year-old said, “It was fantastic. I was really pleased with how the season went, and winning it in Vegas made it even more special. The season has been really intense, so it was nice to have a chance to celebrate.”

When asked whether this championship felt different from his previous three, Verstappen explained that each title has its own significance but acknowledged that this one felt especially rewarding, given the fierce competition Red Bull faced in 2024.

“Each of my titles has been unique, but I do think this one was particularly fulfilling,” he said. “It wasn’t always easy for the team, and to finish the season as champion feels amazing. Crossing the line in Vegas, I knew it was over. It’s been a tough year, but I’m proud of how we’ve managed everything.”

As the final two races of the season approach, Verstappen is shifting his focus to gaining insights from the upcoming events while also starting to think about preparations for 2025.
