Wheel2Wheel Juniors – Why it’s NOT coming home…

By Jace Fernandes

England are in the semi-finals of the Euro 2024 competition despite only scoring 3 goals in the knockout stages and looking both defensively and offensively weak against Slovakia and Switzerland, which on paper are far inferior to this star-studded England side.

So, the question arises, will this England side be able to handle the likes of Spain which are an unstoppable force which are led by the dynamic duo off Inaki Williams and a 16-year-old Lamine Yamal in the front lines, Spain have amassed a total of 8 goals in the knockout stages in comparison to England.

Although England have a stacked squad they lack the fluidity and the team cohesion to even win a game by more than 2 goals, They’re Top players such as Harry Kane, Phil Foden and even Jude Bellingham are underperforming, it seems as if the England players don’t have the desire to bring it home, Spain on the other hand look to be more mesmerizing in their attack and capable of tearing apart this weak England defense, so how will Southgate keep quite this fearsome attack?
