Good news for Williams ahead of Friday’s Action in China…

By Joe Murphy

After an extremely eventful couple of weeks at the Williams factory, it appears as if they do have all the parts necessary to race in full, this weekend. After a dreadful series of events caused one of the team to miss the Australian Grand Prix, parts were thin on the ground in Japan the race after. In fact, it was revealed that they had no spare chassis in either garage. As a result, a lot of work went into getting more emergency parts developed and in place, should they be needed.

Speaking ahead of the first on track action in China in over four years, driver Alex Albon has praised his team for their efforts in ensuring that both their cars are ready for the weekend, which includes the durst Sprint event if the season.

When Albon collided with Daniel Ricciardo on the opening lap of the previous race, causing him to hit the barriers, the team feared the worse that they may not even enter this next race. If it was a single week gap between Grand Prix, this may have been a real possibility. All involved appear to have bounced back from the crash.

Albon hailed the work done by the Williams squad to prepare for going racing in Shanghai, giving his thanks to all those in the factory that made their entry to this weekend’s race, possible.
