After an unexpected delay in proceedings, senior Red Bull executives and lawyers will meet with Christian Horner on Friday Red following the allegations of inappropriate behaviour that were made against the current team principal.
Horner, 50, has been Red Bull team principal since their 2005 debut. Huge success has followed with drivers and constructors championships alike during his tenure, making his job one of the safest in the sport. That was until this week.
An external specialist barrister will carry out the investigation, as confirmed by the F1 Team earlier this week. It’s important to reiterate that Horner denies the allegations “entirely”.
The compound a miserable 2024 for Red Bull so far, Daniel Ricciardo has revealed he is ecstatic at having proven his critics wrong. The Aussie is ready for his first full season back in F1 for the first time since leaving McLaren at the end of 2022.
Ricciardo will be lining up on the grid for the newly named Visa F1 team, having replaced Nick de Vries for AlphaTauri in the summer last year.
It marked a positive moment of redemption for Ricciardo who had previously bee struggling with never being able to replicate his success with Red Bull themselves. However, this carer renaissance means that Ricciardo is now being heavily linked to a seat back with the constructor where he made his name and claimed seven wins. Depending on the unknown future of Sergio Perez, a space could become available. Moreover, he has also been linked with a move to Mercedes next year to replace the Ferrari-bound Lewis Hamilton. Although, it is understood Mercedes are yet to decide who will replace the seven-time World Champion.
