BREAKING – Lewis Hamilton to LEAVE F1…?

By Joe Murphy

In a monumental moment, Lewis Hamilton has revealed this year could be his last in F1, dropping hints that he wants to have a family in the next phase of his life.

The seven-time World Champion has struggled to replicate the success he was so used to achieving since the culmination of the 2021 season, where he ultimately came up short. The Briton, however, has long been a huge part of the sport, setting various records along the way to becoming the most successful F1 driver in history.

Whilst admitting he has not set plans going forward, he did say that a family is something he wants to have in the not so distant future. Due to the stresses and travelling involved with working in Formula 1, this has not been possible as of yet. Even though his current deal with Mercedes runs through to the end of 2025, we have seen before drivers such as Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen retire at similar ages for family related reasons.

In a statement, he declared: “I don’t have time for that. I enjoy being an uncle. I haven’t decided yet whether I want children.” He then continued:

“I don’t have time for it at the moment. If I want a family, I should focus less on racing and I don’t want to do that just yet”. He ended the statement by saying this could happen “someday soon”. How soon, remains to be seen.
