Stroll F1 Exit Talks, Drugovich/Vettel shortlisted…

By Joe Murphy

Canadian Lance Stroll had a difficult season with Aston Martin in 2023. However, despite doubts and rumours, the Lance expects to continue racing with the team next season.

Stroll struggled to score points on many occasions, and his poor performance was often highlighted more in comparison to veteran teammate Fernando Alonso’s potent display that effectively carried the team. As a result, there were whistles of reserve driver Felipe Drugovich or even a sensational return of former World Champion Sebastian Vettel, exasperated by the German’s “never say never” comments towards the back end of the season.

Of course, the poor results were also attributed to the challenges the AMR23 F1 car posed during the second half of the season, which saw both drivers fall behind competition quite badly. But is was indeed Stroll who struggled more.

Aston Martin team principal; Mike Krack has backed his under-fire driver added that Stroll would continue to race with the team next year alongside Alonso. Confirming that he will continue to race with Aston Martin through until at least the end of 2024.
