With Alfa Romeo-Sauber set to become the Audi factory team in 2026, the Italian marque has elected to partner with a different team from 2024 onwards.
The team, who currently have Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou contracted until 2025 and 2024, are to leave Sauber and partner with the Haas F1 team from 2024 onwards, with the American team’s Ferrari engines set to be branded with the Alfa Romeo name.
The original name will remain returning to the grid until Audi complete its full takeover of the team in 2026.
An announcement of the Haas-Alfa Romeo deal is expected soon, possibly during the Italian Grand Prix weekend of September 1-3.
