Eight time race winner and Red Bull reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo is set to make a sensational return to F1 as soon as later this month. The Australian will sit in an AlphaTauri at next weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix
The Australian is to drive in place of departing Nyck de Vries, who has officially been dropped by the Red Bull junior team following a slow start to the season.
Ricciardo returned to a Red Bull this last weekend, taking part in a Pirelli tyre test on Tuesday. He has been sorely missed and fans have been eagerly anticipating his return every since it was announced he wouldn’t be lining up to start this season.
