Hamilton set to sign until 2026!

By Joe Murphy

Lewis Hamilton has hinted that he could be sticking around in Formula 1 for many more years to come. He revealed yesterday that him and his team are working on a multi-year deal that could see the seven time World Champion racing well into his forties.

He has broken nearly every record there is to break and recently moved above the legendary Michael Schumacher and Jenson Button in number of race starts. With only Fernando Alonso ahead still racing in motorsport’s top brand, he has his eyes firmly set on the prize.

A motivating factor surely has to be that elusive and unprecedented eighth Driver’s World Championship that he narrowly missed out on infamously in December 2021. This year hasn’t been the easiest for Hamilton, and he is yet to currently win a race over the course of this campaign. Failure to do so over the next few races would mean a first winless season of his career. However, you get the feeling that Hamilton and Mercedes have next year as their priority to get back to winning ways and mount a serious title challenge.
