Murphy meets Ricciardo!

Yes, you read that correctly. McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo stopped to chat to Wheel2Wheel Reports’ Joe Murphy this Saturday.

Ricciardo, fresh off the unveiling of the sexy McLaren car for 2022,was spending a bit of time doing some promotional work in South West London. He revealed he was in the area to surprise a superfan competition winner. He arrived to the filming location in a McLaren supercar branded with some of the same, new, livery that can be seen on his race car. He was assisted by several members of McLaren’s media team.

With the McLaren car for 2022 showcased to the world for the first time just 24 hours ago, Daniel Ricciardo is excited for the new season and cannot wait to get started. He also told us at Wheel2Wheel that he likes the look of the car, with the new light blue painting infused design giving the orange attire, a familiar yet fresh, look.

Smiling as always on a sunny afternoon in Earlsfield, Danny Ricc is clearly extremely excited for what this season has to offer. Last year, the Australian had some inconsistent times behind the wheel in what was his debut season for the constructor. From that win in Monza to being lapped by teammate Lando Norris in Monaco, it was certainly a campaign of ups and downs. Here’s hoping he builds on the positives of last season to really push on and have some more memorable moments, in Formula 1.
