Next up in our driver series, it’s time we look at one of the most talented, young drivers on the grid. Despite his youth, he already has a wealth of experience in Formula 1, with a few podiums and even a race win, to his name.
For all of you glorious Gasly lovers out there, here are ten fun facts about the man known as Pierre Gasly.

Starting off strong, sorry Pierre for exposing you with this one. Pierre’s biggest fear is snakes. He absolutely hates them.

What is a film that made Pierre cry?
‘The Impossible’, a desperately sad and captivating film based on the events surrounding the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004. I must admit, it made me leak a few tears too.

Want to know Pierre’s guilty pleasure? Well, the Alpha Tauri driver actually loves to eat tiramisu but to which he admitted, he isn’t actually that guilty.

Pierre is known for his warm and smiley presence, but here is a fun fact for you.
Pierre, alongside Daniel Ricciardo, is one of the chattiest drivers on the grid. In fact it is the man behind car number 10 who spends the most time out of all of the drivers in the media pen taking questions. You don’t have time limits on it, he just likes to chat.

Are you interested in behind the meanings of Pierre’s helmet design?
The Frenchman uses Bell helmets for his designs and did you know that all drivers can have up to 3 different designs of helmets, depending on the level of wind at a race.

Have you noticed the jewellery Pierre wears? Well when you next look at a picture or see him on television, take a look at his hand. Pierre always wears a fitness ring on his pinkie finger as it helps him and the team track how strong his body is. It is also useful for tracking his sleeping.

Have you wondered why some drivers have their first name or initials on their race suit?
Pierre along with Vettel, Stroll and teammate Tsunoda are the only ones to have only their last name on their race suit. This is a decision solely down to the team and driver.

Do you think Pierre like football?
Absolutely, he is a massive football fan. Any guesses on his favourite team?
Well being a Frenchman, it’s not much surprise to hear it is PSG – Paris Saint Germain F.C.

Have you ever wondered about Pierre’s racing number 10? Pierre’s racing number comes with 2 reasons behind it.
The first comes from racing back in 2013, he used that number when he became Formula Renault European Champion.
Secondly, because he was and still is a huge fan of Zinédine Zidane. The midfielder wore the number 10 for the National team of France.

Last but not least does Pierre have any secret talents?
Yes he does, Pierre is a really great chess player and is very competitive with it.
